Activist Survey

Objectives:

1. Students will use their understanding of stewardship to analyze statements and determine whether they are true for false.
2. Students will be able to analyze the false statements and explain why they are not true.

Materials Needed:

• Computers connected to the internet
• Stewardship Worksheet #LA-1 (Activist Survey)

Activity:

Have students connect to the internet, go to www.kidfish.bc.ca, click on the "Stewardship" icon and read the "Be an activist" and "Be a responsible fly-fisher" sections.

After reading, hand out the "Stewardship Worksheet #LA-1 (Activist Survey)" to students and have them go through the true and false statements.

Discuss with students the results of their survey and emphasize the importance of proper conduct around water sources.
