Objectives:

1. The student will become familiar with vocabulary associated with the “Our Rivers” section of www.kidfish.bc.ca

Materials Needed:

• Rivers Worksheet #LA-1a and
• Rivers Worksheet #LA-1b

Activity:

Two lists of words and two wordsearches are provided on “Rivers Worksheet #LA-1” and “Rivers Worksheet #LA-1”. These worksheets can be the basis of several possibilities. The wordlist can be used:

• as a spelling list
• for an alphabetical order exercise
• to practice dictionary skills
• to create a base for greater study in this area (Rivers)
