Looking at the Geology of Lakes

Objectives:

1. Students will be able to compare the important features that make up different lakes.

Materials Needed:

• Computers connected to the Internet
• Lakes Worksheet #S-3 (Lake Formation)

Activity:

Students need to log onto www.kidfish.bc.ca. and click on the "Our Lakes" icon. Students then need to click on "geology of a lake" link (in blue print).

Using the information provided in this section, students are to fill in the chart comparing the features of different lakes.
